Planning a luxury family vacation to the Caribbean can bring up many detail-oriented questions. To help you prepare for a seamless travel experience, we have compiled detailed answers to the most frequently asked questions about Beaches Resorts.
What is the tipping policy at Beaches Resorts?
**The only exceptions are:**
- Personal Butlers: Guests in Butler Elite suites are permitted to tip their butlers at the end of their stay for personalized service.
- Red Lane® Spa Therapists: You may tip your spa therapist for massages and body treatments.
- Off-site Excursion Guides: Local guides and drivers for third-party island tours (e.g., Island Routes) are not resort employees and can be tipped.
What services do personal butlers provide?
- Unpacking your luggage and steaming your clothing.
- Reserving beach/pool cabanas and keeping your cooler stocked with drinks.
- Serving lunch, snacks, and cocktails directly to your family's lounge chairs or suite.
- Booking reservations for gourmet restaurants, spa sessions, and island excursions.
- Organizing special family details, such as beach toys or character greetings.
- Handling all check-out logistics and luggage transfers on your departure day.
What are the resort dress codes?
1. Resort Casual (Daytime & Select Dining):
Shorts, t-shirts, polo shirts, sundresses, and __SMART_Beaches Resorts__. Shirts and footwear are required in all indoor restaurants, and swimwear must be covered.
2. Resort Evening (Fine Dining / Dinner):
Required at select gourmet restaurants.
- For Men: Long pants or smart denim (no rips), collared shirts (polo or button-down), and closed-toe dress shoes or formal __LEATHER_Beaches Resorts__. T-shirts, shorts, tank tops, sneakers, and rubber flip-flops are not allowed.
- For Women: Dresses, skirts, elegant trousers, or designer jumpsuits with dress shoes or __DRESSY_Beaches Resorts__.
What should I pack for my family's trip?
- Documentation: Valid passports (must expire at least 6 months after your return date) and flight details.
- Resort Evening Outfits: At least 2-3 outfits that comply with the Resort Evening dress code.
- Sun Protection: Reef-safe sunscreen (required by many Caribbean islands), sunglasses, and sun hats.
- Insulated Tumblers: Bring reusable tumblers (Yeti/RTIC style) to keep your poolside drinks and kids' drinks cold.
- Footwear: Flip-flops for the beach, comfortable shoes for excursions, and dress shoes for evening dining. Water shoes are also recommended for waterfall climbing and water parks.
- Insect Repellent: Bring spray or wipes for tropical evenings.
Is scuba diving really included?
If you are not certified, you can take a PADI resort course at the resort for a small fee, which allows you to complete shallow supervised dives during the rest of your vacation. Full certification courses are also available for an additional cost.

Do I have to pay you up front for my vacation?
Disney destinations typically only charge a small deposit when planning in advance starting at only $200 for DisneyWorld packages! Your Vincent Magical Vacation agent will advise you what your deposit is. Payments on your vacation between deposit and final payment are welcome.
How much does your service cost?
Our expertise is priceless. Our quality service is free of charge. We don't have any charge for planning vacation packages including services such as FastPasses, dining reservations and party tickets. Booking air separate from your reservation incurs a $30 per person charge.
How does your service work?
We start with a consultation where we find out exactly what you are looking for. We will put together our best recommendation in a quote. We communicate via email and the phone so just let your agent know what works best for you.
