Email Me Travel Inquiry Form Registration Form | Payment Form | Travel Lead FormAt the Disney Parks, there are an abundance of options to choose from, but you can purchase exactly what you need for your next magical vacation! The tickets are date-based and it can be difficult for first-timers or even 100th-timers to navigate, but have no fear, that’s why I’m here! I can help you purchase any of the following types of tickets from the Disney parks (either added to a package or stand-alone).
There are two main types of tickets at both Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort, Base Tickets and Park Hopper Tickets. All of these tickets can be purchased with a Disney Package or by themselves.
The Base Tickets allow you access to 1 of the 4 theme parks (Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot) per day. This allows you to spend a full day in each park during your vacation and may minimize the amount of transportation you use per day.
For example, you have a park reservation for Magic Kingdom on Wednesday - that is the only park you will visit that day. *You are able to leave the park and go to your Disney Resort, but if you want to re-enter a park later in the day, you would go back to Magic Kingdom.*
The Park Hopper Ticket option allows you to visit multiple parks per day! Park Hopping currently starts at 2 pm at Walt Disney World and 11 am at Disneyland , meaning you may scan into your second park of the day starting at those respective times. *Note - Your park reservation only needs to be made for the park you will be visiting 1st that day*
Park hopping can help break up your vacation and give you more flexibility when it comes to dining reservations as well as seeing as much of each park as you and your family prefers.
For example, on Tuesday, you may start your day off at Magic Kingdom, seeing the castle and riding all of the rides; when you are ready for a break, head back to your Disney Resort to enjoy the room/pool and relax. For dinner, you have a lovely reservation in Epcot that evening.
Now that you have chosen which type of park tickets work best for your family - now what? Well, if you are traveling in 2023, you are going to make park pass reservations. Starting January 9, 2024 Park Pass Reservations will not be required for all ticket types - YAY!! 😀
You can make your park pass reservations right on the My Disney Experience app or on a computer. Basically, each day you are going to be visiting a theme park, you will make a reservation for that park! Sounds super simple, but as your travel agent I am more than happy to make these for you, giving you one less thing to worry about! 🙂
*Always check park availability prior to purchasing your park tickets.*
Next, you will want to decide how you are going to “carry” your park tickets. Are you going to use MagicBands, Magic Mobile, or do you prefer card tickets? I break down each one below for you to compare!
MagicBand - (My personal favorite) Wristbands that hold your entire Disney Package. They are the easiest and the most convenient way to get into the parks, just snap them on your wrist and you’re good to go. You can purchase these through your My Disney Experience Account and bonus - they’ll already be linked with your details on them! The bands range in price, but staying at a Disney Resort and purchasing through your Disney Reservation gives you a discount!
Magic Mobile - Hold your entire Disney Package on your phone. This is the newest way of getting into the park, and is completely free, so it’s great for those not wanting to purchase Magic Bands. I will walk you through this option step-by-step to make sure everyone is set up correctly!
Hard Card Tickets - The most traditional way of entering a Disney Theme Park. If you don’t want to purchase a MagicBand or use phones, you can visit Guest Relations on your first park day and then can confirm your confirmation number and credit card to issue you a Hard Card Ticket. *Lines at Guest Relations may be over an hour long so be prepared to wait if this is the option you choose*
Finally, what about the Special Ticketed Events such as Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, or Oogie Boogie Bash? Not to worry! As your travel agent I can also book these special parties for you as well. Don’t wait in the virtual queue online or on hold for hours calling Disney - let me do that for you! 🙂
As you can see, there are multiple options when it comes to your Disney Park tickets. Both Walt Disney World and Disneyland can be overwhelming when trying to decide what will work best for your family. Booking your vacation with me ensures that you will have all of the knowledge needed to make the best choices! Send me an email today and we can start planning your next magical vacation!
