Happy Tuesday, Disney fans!
My countdown to my next Disney trip is getting lower and lower (Festival of the Arts, here I come!!! *see photo :)), so naturally, my packing list grows and grows. Walt Disney World in the winter is a totally different beast than during peak summer season, so here are a few things that are a must for those winter trips:
- Layers! The temperature can fluctuate like crazy in Florida this time of year, so bring lots of things you can peel off and pile on as the day goes. I'm bringing a sweatshirt and a jean jacket, tank tops, tee shirts - all things that I can layer up or down as needed.
- Sunscreen :) Those rays still shine brightly even in February! Make sure to bring your SPF, but you can definitely get away with a lower number than you would in the summer.
- Electrolytes - We MUST stay hydrated, even when it's not hot out. I know I always neglect to stay hydrated when I'm not reminded to by the scorching heat, but we have to keep up our body's balance of good stuff. So I'll be packing my Liquid IV packets to pour into my free Disney water every few hours.
- Extra socks! When I'm going back and forth from my resort to the parks to dinner to other activities, there is nothing that makes you feel refreshed like a clean pair of socks. Pack a few in varying degrees of thickness for the nighttime chill and the afternoon sun.
- Baseball cap :) In addition to being the perfect finish to any Disney Day look, a baseball hat will help serve a double purpose as a way to keep the afternoon sun away from your eyes as well as keep your head warm in the chilly mornings and evenings.
What's a must-pack for YOU during the colder months?? Have a magical rest of your week! I'll be back soon with more trip updates.
