Costumes, characters, candy, oh my!! Walt Disney World’s Halloween Party, Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is approaching fast, and I’m here to give you all the details of this can’t miss event!
Event Details
Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is a special ticketed event that runs on select nights starting August 11-November 1 in Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando, Florida. Depending on which day you choose to attend, ticket prices vary from $109-199 for adults and $99-189 for children. Technically the event runs from 7:00 pm - midnight, BUT most people don’t know that you can actually enter the park starting at 4:00 pm. You do not need a theme park ticket for that day, just a Mickey’s Not So Scary special event ticket to enjoy the park from 4-midnight.
Event Highlights
This Halloween bash is unlike any other Disney event. One of the main highlights is that guests are encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to the party! Just make sure to follow Disney dress guidelines, which can be found here. Throughout the night, be sure to catch the the following unique happenings around the park:
- Trick or Treat Trail - Kids (and adults!) can trick or treat throughout Magic Kingdom at different candy stations located around the park. A trick-or-treat map will be provided when you enter the park. Pro tip - You can go through candy lines as many times as you would like. My brother and I each had two full bags of candy last time we went! And this is good candy…Disney partners with MARS candy, so your kids will definitely be happy!
- Boo to You Parade - One of my favorite parts of the evening is the special Halloween themed parade. See your favorite characters dressed up in their own Halloween costumes as they parade throughout the park!
- Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular Fireworks Show - Enjoy a fantastic Halloween-themed fireworks spectacular in front of the castle!
- Character Meet and Greets - Be sure to keep your cameras ready as you spot your favorite Disney characters in their Halloween costumes!
- Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular - During the event, you can watch your favorite Halloween sisters in this Hocus Pocus inspired show on the castle stage.
AttractionsWho loves shorter wait times?! One of the main reasons I love going to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is because of the shorter wait times for rides. I can usually ride my favorite attractions multiple times throughout the night. Keep your eyes peeled for several rides that will have a special Halloween twist. One time when we went, Space Mountain turned into “Deep Space Mountain” where the lights were completely off. This was definitely one of my favorite memories! Usually the teacups have a disco light and play Halloween themed music during the event. FoodI can’t leave out this important category for all the foodies out there! It wouldn’t be a Disney event without some delicious themed-treats! Be sure to come hungry to enjoy the following:Sweet Treats:
