I started a tradition with my oldest daughter 4 years ago, we went on a mother/daughter senior trip that she picked, before she graduated high school! (I will post on that one later). My youngest is graduating this year, and she chose to go on a cruise for her senior trip. We took a 4 day Bahamas cruise on Royal Caribbean's Voyager of the Seas! We had an ABSOLUTE BLAST! We had 2 stops on our cruise, Perfect Day at Coco Cay and Bimini! CocoCay was indeed perfect! We did lots of exploring and booked the swimming with the Pigs excursion, the water was a little chilly at the beginning of January, but it was so much fun! So that was a bucket list item that was checked off! Our next stop was Bimini and it was beautiful! We rented a golf cart and drove all over the island and even found a beautiful little beach! We also booked a kayaking excursion! It was wonderful! We got to hold a starfish and live Conch, we saw a stingray on our adventure and a small bull shark! We spent the rest of the time driving around the island, and doing a little shopping! The entertainment on the ship was great! We got to see an ice show, a comedy show, a magic show and a broadway snippet show! The waterslides are super fun and I HIGHLY recommend them! We didn't attempt the Flowrider, but it looked like those who did really enjoyed it! There was always something fun to do on the ship and we were never bored! We packed a lot of fun in the 4 days we were onboard!
We were scheduled to fly home on disembarkation day, but the weather back home decided we needed to stay in Florida a little longer, so we decided to take an impromptu trip to Disney World Magic Kingdom! We booked a night at Disney Pop Century Hotel and then headed to the park, we didn't get there until almost 4 but we stayed until it closed and got to ride all the big rides and even managed to squeeze in a character dinner with her favorite characters! When the weather gives you lemons, and your in Florida, make lemonade!
